JT/FOX Oxford Cheetahs are looking to make it four Elite League wins on the trot at Sandy Lane when they entertain Peterborough Panthers at Oxford Stadium tonight (7.30pm).

Last year, the Panthers won everything in sight, but this year are struggling, due to having to make changes, and currently lie just below Oxford in the table.

They have strengthened up after a poor start, just like Oxford, and while Peter Karlsson didn't fancy a return to British League racing when Oxford were looking for a new man, he has had second thoughts after an offer from Peterborough.

At present riding in the GP series, Karlsson has made a good start on his return, and considerably beefed up the Posh challenge, giving the likes of Ryan Sullivan, Sam Tesar and Stefan Andersson the suppport they were lacking. On the home front, Steve Johnston and Mark Lemon will be aiming for good performances to take with them into the Overseas Final at Poole on Sunday.

Lemon, together with Jan Staechmann, has yet to click and tonight would no better place to re-start their Oxford careers.

Team boss Colin Meredith said: "We had to give them the opportunity to settle in, but we are now looking forward to them scoring the points we know they are capable of."

Lukas Dryml came up with the goods in the win over Wolverhampton last week and now everybody is waiting for big brother Ales to join the party.
