Oxford rattled up their highest score in the Western Feeder League when they hammered the Falkland attack for 314-4 off 59.5 overs at Enbourne Lodge on Saturday.
But once again, they were unable to record their first victory as the home side finished on 145-7.
On an excellent track, Oxford's openers A Bones and Keith Mustow helped themselves to runs with a centuiry partnership.
Bones reached a fine century before being run out of 110, while 72 of Mustow's 83 came via 18 boundaries. Ben Thompson joined in the fun with 64 and the only batsman to miss out was Pat Jobson, bowled for a duck.
Falkland's hopes of getting near Oxford's formidable 314 target suffered a major blow when their top player, Abbasi, who has represented Pakstan A, was caught by Jobson off Mark Murfett for nought.
Berkshire player Julian Wood and Gowland repaired the damage until Giles Peddy claimed two wickets to prompt a middle-order slide.
Gowland, however, remained defiant and his 66 not out ensured Falkland survived on 145-7 from their 54 overs.
Peddy was the pick of ther Oxford bowlers with 3-42.
