Wheatley-based England star Martin Keown has warned against complacency in tonight's Euro 2000 clash with Romania.
The defender played a crucial role in the 1-0 win over Germany on Saturday but will be urging his teammates not to assume they've finished the job.
England need a draw tonight to secure a quarter-final tie against Italy.
Keown said: "It's nice to beat Germany, great for us and the fans. But we have to keep a lid on it and not get carried away. The German win was a huge team effort. Against Portugal we probably lost a game trying to win a game. Against Germany we were a bit more conservative - and we have to get that balance right again."
Keown's wife Nicola and sons Callum and Niall originally thought they might not go to Charleroi because of fears over crowd trouble. But when they knew he would be playing they took the plunge.
The Arsenal star paid tribute to fans inside the ground on Saturday, adding: "We only hear about the trouble but the fans in the stadium were great. They gave us that extra yard. It was like playing a home game."
