Classic Press Cherwell League Division 1 round-up
**Chris Thomas hit a superb unbeaten century as Rover Cowley continued their climb up the table with a resounding nine-wicket win over Sandford St Martin, writes Keith Campbell. Thomas struck 103 not out and, with fellow opener Sanath scoring 69 out of an opening partnership of 145, Rover cruised to victory at 190-1. Earlier, Sandford had been held to 187-8 off their 50 overs with Paul Tew (43) leading the way, while Reg Finch took 4-75 in a marathon 25-over spell.

**Manoj Parmar followed up last week's unbeaten century for Thame with another ton - after grabbing a five-wicket haul to set up victory against Buckingham. Put in to bat, Buckingham could manage only 163 all out, with Mike Taylor making 61 and Anthony Romaine 42 as Parmar spun his way to 5-47 with Steve Merry (3-54) providing excellent support. Parmar then struck 15 boundaries in his unbeaten 107, made from just 92 deliveries, as he guided Thame to 164-1 in just 31 overs.

**Cumnor climbed off the bottom with an eight-wicket thrashing of Challow & Childrey, who slumped to their third successive defeat. Challow collapsed from 76-0 to 154 all out, with only Blair Copelin's 59 standing between them and a complete rout as Cumnor skipper Clive Ricks (5-41) and Adam Cook, who took 4-6 at the death, wreaked havoc. Opener Graham Scott then struck an unbeaten 69 and Malcolm Evans made 43 as Cumnor cruised home.

**Oxford Nondescripts also won by eight wickets, overtaking Leighton Buzzard's 119 all out in just 27 overs. Of Leighton Buzzard's batsmen, only Rob Ferguson (39) made any real impact as Ed Butcher took 4-31 and Charlie Owen 3-48. Chris Keen then struck an unbeaten 54 for Nondies and with Ian Mead chipping in with 31, the visitors cruised to 122-2.

**Leaders Shipton-under-Wychwood marched on with a seven-wicket win over Banbury Twenty. Felix McDonald (76) and opener Paul Hemming (72 no) shared a third-wicket stand of 132 before Shipton clinched victory at 202-3. Twenty had earlier fought back from 51-4 to make 201-6 thanks to a fifth-wicket stand of 82 between Dave Mitchell (60) and Steve Partington (36) before Dave Clark weighed in with a quick 38. Paul Snell (3-39) and Shaun Miller (3-63) took the bowling honours.
