Audi cruised to a dominant one-two-three Le Mans 24 Hour victory in an incredible display of speed and reliability by the German manufacturer.
Former British Touring Car Champion Frank Biela, partnered by Tom Kristensen and Emanuele Pirro, swept their 200-mph "open top" Audi R8 to victory, earning Audi their maiden victory at Le mans in only their second attempt. Teammates Allan McNish, Stephane Ortellu and Laurent Aiello were second.
