Prolific scorer Matt Thomas was at it again as Oxford Cavaliers maintained their lead at the top of the Rugby League Conference Southern Division with a 72-0 win over lowly South London Storm.
In the intense heat Thomas, the English Universities stand-off half, scored four tries to add to the three he tallied against Kingston the previous week.
Simon Hicks, who is closing in on the club's single-season scoring record, posted one try and kicked ten goals. Craig Aven and Paul Fairhurst each bagged a brace of tries and were joined on he board by Simms, Shires, Rushworth and Scargill. Cavaliers, under their coach Dave Doran, face tough challenges from North London, Crawley and West London in coming weeks and their performance in these games will determine their play-off status.
