Schoolgirl Rebecca Cowderoy is galloping to success after being selected to represent her country in a pony championship.
Rebecca, 13, of Glympton, near Woodstock, is on the British team for the forthcoming dressage event in Ireland next month.
The Duke of Marlborough School pupil will be competing against Ireland with her pony, Martleaves Sparkling Gem.
Her father Nigel said: "Emma's had a love affair with ponies since she was four years old and I'm proud and delighted to have my daughter represent Britain."
Proud mum, Julie added: "We are ecstatic. Rebecca has worked so hard for this and is very determined to succeed." She thanked trainers Rhett and Jilly Bird, of the Sport Horse Training Centre, near Stratford upon Avon, who also trained fellow competitor Georgina Bowles, 12, of Church Hanborough.
