Chemical services company Oxford Asymmetry has won an award for its computer system.
Its knowledge management system, installed with the help of consultants Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, won a prize for best use of IT for continuous improvement in the Microsoft Digital Britain Awards.
Oxford Asymmetry makes new compounds for pharmaceutical and agrichemical companies to test as possible products. Chairman Edwin Moses said: "OAI's culture with Cap Gemini's skills have enabled us to implement our knowledge management systems at an astonishing rate. We are already recognising tangible benefits such as increased efficiency and speed of data searching ."
