Oxford promoter Steve Purchase is considering his position after he resigned from the British Speedway Promoters Association.
Since he took the dramatic step last Friday after the decision by the BSPA to allow Sam Tesar to guest for Belle Vue in their Elite League encounter, he has had time to think things over.
Purchase was angry with the BSPA, who denied Oxford a similar facility a few weeks ago.
He said: "This was the final straw as far as I was concerned. I am totally disillusioned with the inconsistencies within speedway." The Aces were allowed to use Tesar just days after he had scored paid 15 points at Sandy Lane for his home track Peterborough.
He came in to replace Peter Nahlin, who refused to ride for Belle Vue because he allegedly did not want to be paid by cheque. He wanted cash.
Whether Purchase sticks by his original decision depends on the next few days.
Much will depend on talks with his family, particularly his wife Vanessa, who is co-promoter at Oxford.
