This week, three enormous bream weighing 14.8.0, 15.0.0 and 15.8.0 were found dead in Farmoor II reservoir, confirming once again what huge coarse fish exist in the reservoir.
The biggest had half of its side eaten away, otherwise it could have topped 16lbs.
Where massive bream are concerned, Farmoor is one of the finest waters in the country and someone may one day catch one on a fly that will break the record.
Trout-wise, Farmoor II is fishing well. The average was 5.9lb for last week, with many anglers buying second tickets.
Most of the trout are being taken about 8ft down two rod lengths out on various nymph patterns, including the old established Pheasant Tail.
