Classic Press Cherwell League - Division 2
Ian Caunce hit a brilliant 103 as Oxford Downs drew with Great & Little Tew. Caunce's ton came off just 73 balls and included nine boundaries and eight sixes before he departed with the score on 130-2 after just 25 overs. But then good bowling from Steve Murrey (3-39) and Kevin Taylor (3-55) pegged Downs back to 193-8. The Tews struggled to 27-5 in reply in the face of a tight spell from Steve Roberts, whose 3-6 came from a ten-over stint. However, with Paul Catling (47 no) steadying the ship and Downs contributing no fewer than 45 extras, including 27 wides, the visitors reached the close on 130-8.
Points: Oxford Downs 16, Great Tew 13
