Plough Inn, Sutton Courtney hit their best form of the season when they entertained Premier side Shears in Section 1 of the Morrells ODDA.

Richard Roberts and Kevin Jones gave Plough a 2-0 lead before Shears pulled one back through Kevin Wilkins.

Plough made it 3-1 with an excellent win from Derrick Lucas over Dave Exell (180), and although Barry Cadd (180) replied for Shears, Plough made it 4-2 when Martin Strong beat Alan Wilkins.

Shears took the pairs 2-1 but Plough's point earned them a 5-4 triumph which takes them to the top of the table.
