A machine that can speed up the detection of the killer brain bug meningitis has been shortlisted for an award.
The Immunosonic, developed by Electro-Medical Supplies, of Limborough Road, Wantage, can cut the time to diagnose the disease from two days to just 30 minutes.
It has been shortlisted to the final three in the health innovation category of the first BBC TV Tomorrow's World 2000 Awards, to be screened tonight (July 5) on BBC1 at 7.30pm.
