Two Cornwall players were tested for drugs during Oxfordshire's first Minor Counties Championship match to be played in The Parks yesterday.
It proved a profitable day for Oxon, who dismissed their opponents for 185 to pick up four bowling points. They then replied with 182-8 at a faster rate to earn two more batting points.
But the day will be remembered more for the routine drugs tests on Cornwall's skipper Gary Thomas and opening bowler Charlie Shreck. They were picked out at random to provide urine samples and both struggled to produce the goods.
Thomas's trial meant the start of the innings was delayed and he was no more successful with the bat, falling to Keith Arnold in his fourth over. Arnold also had 16-year-old Neil Edwards caught at the wicket off the next ball.
Arnold struck again at 50, dismissing Steve Williams, and in the next over, Stewart Laudat sent back new batsman Tom Sharp.
Cornwall's fifth pair Rupert Wilder and Jason Hands put on 67 before both fell in quick succession.
