Clive Bowler extended his reign as Oxford City's top golfer when he won the club championship for the fourth successive year at Southfield.
However, it was a mighty close thing as Andy Hooker needed an eight-foot putt on the final green to force a play-off.
Hooker's effort just shaved the hole, and so he had to settle for runners-up spot.
Bowler's morning round of 68 was the key to his retention of the Halls Cup. An afternoon 74 gave him a total of 142.
