Jet Sport racer Simon Belcher, from Faringdon, won the third round of the British Championships at Stewartby Country Park, Bedfordshire, to his extend his overall lead.
The defending champion, Belcher won both races in the Pro 785cc class with an incredible pace which pulled out four seconds a lap on his nearest rival, and stretched his lead to 43 points at the halfway stage of the championship.
Belcher said: "We tried some new things this weekend ready for the very tough event in Portugal this coming weekend and they worked really well."
He also went on to win the 1200cc class and came second in production class which allows only limited tuning. With racing back-to-back weekends in Bedford and then Portugal, the team are rushing straight to Portugal for round two of the European championships in which Belcher is currently second.
