Oxford Brookes University are celebrating after winning the Visitors Fours Cup at Henley Royal Regetta.
But they were denied a double when their eight crew in the Temple Cup narrowly went down to Yale University by two-thirds of a length in the final.
No other locals managed the ultimate Henley success this year.
The biggest failure probably came for Radley College in the Princess Elizabeth Cup eights. Radley were clearly the fastest British crew in the event, and St Edward's were probably the closest to them since these two had a great race on the Thursday. Radley won by just over a length in by far the fastest time of the whole week. But their progress ended in the semi-final against St Joseph's Prep, USA, when, again on the unfavoured station, they went down by half a length.
St Joseph's went on to win against their fellow Americans, Groton School, who had put paid to the hopes of Abingdon School on the Friday.
