Classic Press Cherwell League Preview
BANBURY Twenty batsman Dave Clark misses the home game against Buckingham in Division 1 - because he's been called up to play mixed hockey for England, writes KEITH CAMPBELL.
Clark is set to miss a number of weekends with training sessions before playing an international against Wales.
Tim Pearce is also unavailable for Twenty, but Mike Wedderburn returns from holiday. For Leighton Buzzard, Matt Fry is likely to be out for three weeks after cracking a couple of ribs last Sunday and Rob Ferguson is missing this week, attending a wedding. However, Tim O'Leary returns.
Former Oxfordshire skipper Phil Gartner has recovered from a knee injury and returns for runaway leaders Shipton-under-Wychwood's home game against Oxford Nondescripts. He replaces Felix MacDonald. Nondescripts retain the side which beat Rover convincingly last week.
Rover Cowley are boosted by the return of Mohsin Rana, Srinath and Colin Ball for the trip to Thame.
Sandford St Martin bring in Phil Paterson in place of Andy Robey as they visit Cumnor.
Challow & Childrey entertain Buckingham, for whom Paul Street is away on holiday.
