Two great grass carp both weighing over 30lbs have been reported from the Thames.
The two big fish, weighing 37.0.0 and 36.0.0, were taken several months ago, but the captors, Ian Valseca and Bill Newman, decided not to report them at the time because of fear of other anglers descending on the reach.
The disclosure is bound to alert carp anglers and will reinforce the river's growing reputation for producing specimen carp.
