A record field of 96 has entered the Waterstock Junior Classic, which takes place next Monday.
The event, sponsored by the Oxford Mail and Cabana Soft Drinks, is a qualifying competition for the Daily Telegraph Centre Parcs Junior Championship.
The field includes last year's winner Nick Drain (Woburn), who failed by a shot to reach the national finals.
Chris Hollingdale, 16, joined the race for the Daily Telegraph championship by winning the qualifying event on his home course of Lyneham.
Hollingdale, a five-handicapper from Shipton-under-Wychwood, won with a gross 69.
