The North Berks Motor Cycle Club didn't let us down at Dalton Barracks on Sunday - even though we had to wait for nearly an hour without any action soon after the start, writes John Gaisford.
Nine races had gone when the action stopped for the presentation of the world longtrack/grasstrack competitors who all arrived in golf carts, no doubt loaned from the local club for the day.
However, as in all FIM competitions, the host club have no say in the organisation of the racing, so don't blame them.
It would have made much more sense to get the practicalities out of the way before the start, for nearly 40 minutes into the racing, the fans are thirsting for more.
It proved another great day with some cracking racing and a good crowd. I'm sure they won a few more fans over on this display.
