Bicester & North Oxford were delighted at fellow strugglers Luton's defeat by bottom club Bletchley in the Home Counties Premier League.

But their joy last Saturday has been tempered by the knowledge that it's their turn to entertain Bletchley and their new Test hero in tomorrow's relegation battle.

Pakistan's Mohammad Wasim thumped an amazing 166 not out on his debut as Bletchley sped past Luton's total of 230 in just 33.3 overs to renew their hopes of survival.

And Bicester skipper Darryl Woods admits that containing the international ace will be a major challenge. "It's obviously going to be a massive test for our bowlers," he said. "But he is just one guy and he could last only one ball.

"It should be good to play against him. That's why we're playing cricket at this level to test ourselves."

Woods added: "It is a bit annoying that they can just bring this guy in to try and keep them up. It will certainly make a mockery of the league if they win their last four or five games and finish in mid-table.

"But a lot depends on them winning the toss and being able to chase. If they have to bat first, then I don't think they will have the bowling to roll sides over no matter how many runs they get."

Bicester welcome back Oxfordshire wicket-keeper Ian Hawtin, who has recovered from a fractured finger.

Oxon skipper Rob Williams, who has been unavailable because of work commitments, returns to boost the batting.
