Oxford United boss Denis Smith says he is looking for 20 goals this season from his new striker Manny Omoyinmi.
The speedy former West Ham forward has scored goals wherever he has been at Upton Park and for loan clubs Bournemouth, Dundee United, Leyton Orient, Gillingham and Colchester.
Last season, the dearth of goals from their strikers was the main reason United were almost relegated, but Smith believes Omoyinmi can make a major difference.
"I'm looking for Manny to give me towards 20 goals," he said. "You can't rely on one player, but if he has an injury-free season, he should be capable of getting that number."
Smith also expects the team to get far more than the paltry 43 they mustered in the league last season.
"I'll get more goals from my defenders, I believe. I fancy Ian McGuckin to score a few and so will the full backs John Robertson and Paul Powell.
"I'm expecting Peter Fear to get a few, Joey (Beauchamp) as well, when he's involved, and I know I've got to get more out of Paul Tait. And there's others, like Cooky and Lilley, who will get goals."
Despite his poor return last season, Steve Anthrobus is expected to partner Omoyinmi in attack in tomorrow's opening Division 2 game against Peterborough at the Manor.
Anthrobus has been given the No 9 shirt in the squad numbering with Omoyinmi wearing 14, but Smith says fans shouldn't read too much into the numbers.
The club were facing a last-minute race to get the new kit in. It is expected to arrive later today.
