More than 300 villagers are campaigning against plans for a new bus depot which is about to feature in a massive Government inquiry.
Kidlington residents are angry that Stagecoach has launched an appeal after a blueprint to build a 200-bus depot at Langford Locks was turned down.
Cherwell District Council said the office and workshop buildings would violate noise regulations near residential areas, but the firm has asked the Department of Environment to overturn the decision.
But residents at the nearby Flatford Place estate, where houses back on to the development land, have started a petition against the bus company.
Gerwyn Jenkins said the main concerns included the 24-hour noise and pollution as buses drive to and from the proposed depot.
