Reed Elsevier, the Anglo-Dutch publishing giant, said its reorganisation plans were firmly on track after a big overhaul of the company earlier in the year.
The company, which employs several hundred people in North Oxford and Kidlington, announced a shake-up of its business in February.
It has since moved to focus its operations around three core activities science, legal and business-to-business.
Chief executive Crispin Davis said: In February, we laid out in some detail our strategic priorities to turn around Reed Elsevier's performance.
Execution against those plans is firmly on track and we are increasingly confident that our strategy will deliver the superior growth and shareholder returns that we have targeted.
During the year Reed has implemented a new management structure and has appointed new bosses at each of its divisions to establish a high quality management team. The group has spent 876m on several acquisitions.
