Thame United saw off Dr Martens League new boys Banbury United 4-2 at Windmill Stadium.
Thame opened the scoring through Martin Brown, who sidefooted home from 12 yards. Brown then had to go off with a back injury.
Banbury equalised with an Ady Fuller penalty and then took the lead on 32 minutes when Ashley McKinness's corner was headed into his own net by Chris Fontaine.
Fontaine made amends by equalising from eight yards in the second half and further goals from young substitute Alex Stewart, with a cracking volley, and Ian Concannon sealed the verdict.
