Online information group Scoot.com will sell its products through the Carphone Warehouse mobile phone shops following an agreement between the two companies, writes David Duffy.
The deal will allow customers of Carphone Warehouse to list their businesses on Oxford-based Scoot's directory service on a subscription basis, and will effectively see the phone shop acting as a sales team for Scoot.
A spokesman for Carphone Warehouse said: This agreement will bring valuable benefits for both parties and we have high expectations for the level of success Scoot and Carphone Warehouse can achieve.
Scoot recently bought classified advertising paper Loot in a 190m deal.
Carphone Warehouse is Europe's largest mobile phone retailer with over 800 stores in 14 countries.
