Staff at a city centre store have been told their jobs will end next January.
Dutch firm C&A announced it was closing all its 109 stores two months ago.
Now workers at the Oxford store have been told their last day will be on January 28 next year.
The company is currently in the process of selling or letting its high street stores. But no announcement has been made on the future of the Oxford branch in the Westgate Shopping Centre.
The firm's estates' department spokesman, Fred Bonney, said: "Some of our stores are in solicitors' hands, others are not. There are a number of interested parties in the Oxford store, but none have moved beyond that stage yet. "We will be holding job fairs to help our employees find positions for the future. Lots of companies keen to employ our staff have also been sending in application forms."
Several new shops have recently opened in the city centre, which has also seen the refurbishment of the Boots store and Debenhams, which is expected to re-open in October.
The Westgate Centre is set for a 20m facelift as Oxford City Council is set to discuss plans this week.
The scheme will include new shops, cafes, rooftop restaurants and apartments as well as improvements to Bonn Square and a new bus station.
