The OCA have ordered the Division 2 match between Witney Swifts and Twyford to be replayed after their recent clash ended in controversy.
The match at The Leys on Saturday, July 29 came to a premature finish when the umpires pulled up the stumps after a Twyford player allegedly refused to bat on the rain-affected wicket.
Swifts had made 229-3 and Twyford were 25-1 when the teams left the field.
Swifts were under the impression that they had been awarded the points by the umpires, but now a league meeting has ordered that the game should be replayed.
OCA general secretary Tim Naidu said: "Basically, there seemed to be a lack of communication between the players and the umpires.
"From the evidence from all the reports, there was a lack of understanding of some of the players and the way the umpires were interpreting certain players.
"One batsman was complaining and one was happy to carry on. When you get that breakdown in communications, commonsense goes out of the window.
"That is why we have taken the unusual step of replaying the game.
"We have not had anything like it for a while, but I would not say it is unique in any way."
Swifts captain Andy Fisher declined to comment until he had seen the full contents of the league's letter.
