Plans to open a hot food takeaway in a residential area of Abingdon are being considered by the Vale of White Horse District Council.
The hot food business has been proposed for the parade of shops in Reynolds, beneath flats.
Planning officer Mike Gilbert said the plans had been sent back to the applicant asking for further detail.
He added: "The takeaway could be a fish-and-chip shop or for Chinese food. We have not been told."
