Newsagent Wendy Green is retiring after running her Oxford city centre shop for almost 20 years.
She has decided to call it a day and spend her retirement on two of her hobbies - teaching music and breeding dogs.
Mrs Green, 53, who lives in Hanwell, near Banbury, bought Wendy News in Broad Street in 1982 after seeing an advert in the Oxford Mail.
She already owned two newsagents in London and High Wycombe.
As she was leaving the shop yesterday she said: "I thought I would like to retire and enjoy my retirement before I got too old. Besides, I think 18 years is long enough."
