Top motorcycle clothing manufacturer Hein Gericke has come out tops in a recent national magazine survey, writes John Gilbride.
As part of motorcycle magazine RiDE's annual industry survey 15 of the most popular one-piece leather race suits available were rigorously tested and three of the company's value for money suits were awarded top marks for quality
The suits were tested to destruction under laboratory conditions and through real life road test experience in the September issue of RiDE.
Tear strength, abrasion resistance, impact protection, seam strength, construction, zip quality, practicality, comfort and value-for-money were all investigated and appraised in what RiDE magazine claims to be "the finest tests in the business".
Outshining many of their higher priced competitors all three of the Hein Gericke off-the-peg race suits tested scored exceptionally well. Two of those, the Hein Gericke Track, recently reduced to 399.90, and the Hein Gericke Competition II, at the same price, were recommended by the magazine, whilst their Tribal suit at at a budget 299.90 took the 'best buy' accolade.
In its editorial the magazine concluded that "Hein Gericke's Tribal Suit scooped the 'best buy' tag for scoring impressive protection, armour and road testing results for just under 300 top value".
Hein Gericke spokesman Guy Mainwaring said: "Three suits tested, two with 'recommended' and the third awarded 'best buy'. What better illustration could there be that Heine Gericke products offer exceptional value for money."
