WEST End theatre stars were able to party until late thanks to Banbury-based De Boer Structures, which provided temporary structures for the after-show party for the Witches of Eastwick musical premiere.

About 1,200 guests were at the celebration at Somerset House on The Strand the first time that the venue had been used for such a function.

The property's recently refurbished courtyard was transformed as De Boer created a lavish setting for diners and partygoers to celebrate the play's launch.

Jo Trinder, De Boer Structures account manager in charge of the project, said: "The party was themed to tie in with the production. The tables and costumes were largely black and red, while a firework display on the Thames added to the magic of the evening."

De Boer provided the main structure used for the dining and entertainment areas, as well as two entrance halls plus facilities for catering staff. Shelter was also offered by a covered walkway.

The production is the latest to be launched by theatre mogul Cameron Mackintosh, and brings the novel and successful Hollywood film to the stage for the first time.
