Banbury beat the weather and made short work of bottom club Bletchley to maintain their challenge for the Home Counties Premier League title on Saturday.
They stay hard on the heels of leaders High Wycombe, who were equally comfortable victors over Radlett to keep their seven-point lead at the top.
After a 90-minute delay caused by overnight rain, Banbury had no hesitation in inviting the home side to bat.
Kelvin Locke and Pakistan Test player Mohammed Wasim got them off to a flying start with 70 from the first 16 overs, but Locke's dismissal brought about a dramatic collapse.
Nine wickets fell for just 36 runs as David Taylor and Neal Radford claimed five wickets each. Banbury lost Andy Sabin early on but then Craig Haupt and Mike Barratt put on 63 in 13 overs for the second wicket to see the side to the brink of victory.
Haupt completed his sixth half-century of the season by hitting the winning four, one of ten in his innings.
