The Royal Mail has been asked to consider compensating businesses in the Thames Valley which lost out because of the postal strike.
The Oxfordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry has written to the Royal Mail following the strike earlier this month, which disrupted services in the county for more than a week.
Chamber chairman John Naish said: "The strike has shown the hugely damaging effect such a strike can have on business. Many have reported having their operations severely disrupted. "We are looking to the Royal Mail to take the initiative and come forward with proposals as a goodwill gesture."
