Oxfordshire's leading law firms are among those listed in the latest edition of the Legal 500, writes Sarah Parker.
Known as the lawyer's bible, the publication lists the top 500 UK commercial law firms and barristers' chambers specialising in different areas.
Oxfordshire falls into the Thames Valley regional section. Among the firms listed is Morgan Cole, the result of a high-profile merger two years ago. It is now a leading firm with offices in Oxford and Reading.
The publication says Boodle Hatfield in Oxford is one of the leading private client firms in the country, offering a trusts and estates practice, supported by a London office.
Linnells, also Oxford-based, has probably the most diverse practice in the region and has further expanded its expertise with a focus on human rights.
Manches has strengths in media and publishing which are supported by highly recommended IT and corporate expertise.
Shoosmiths in Banbury continues to develop its nationwide practice and its practices in Banbury and Reading are now part of a centralised structure.
