Leeds secured their multi-million pound place in the Champions League on the back of Alan Smith's fourth goal in three matches by beating 1860 Munich in the Olympic Stadium last night.
Smith's 46th-minute strike sealed a 3-1 aggregate win which could now see them face the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Lazio, Juventus, Bayern Munich or Monaco.
The club can now expect a 5m windfall simply for reaching the first group stage, and the players a 10,000-per-man bonus for achieving such a feat.
Boss David O'Leary said: This was the best performance from my players during my time in charge. This result is for all the hard work we put in last year."
Meanwhile in the Premiership, Duncan Ferguson capped his return to Everton with two goals in their 3-0 demolition of Charlton at Goodison.
Paulo Wanchope bagged the top flight's first hat-trick of the season as Manchester City got off the mark with a 4-2 win over Sunderland.
