New boss Brian Hughes has warned Witney Town's fans to expect a roller-coaster ride in the Eastern Division this season.
Town kicked off with a 3-1 win over Histon last Saturday before going down 3-2 at Stamford on Tuesday as Gary Murphy netted with a wonder strike and Keith Knight converted a penalty.
"It is early days for us," said Hughes. "We have won one and lost one and I think we'll be a bit erratic with the new faces."
Town's boss names an unchanged squad for the trip to Dartford tomorrow and for the home game against Baldock Town on Monday.
Player-manager Kevin Brock has been encouraged by Banbury United's start after stepping up to the Eastern Division.
Banbury went down 1-0 at Sittingbourne last Saturday after a nightmare journey before drawing 1-1 at home to Burnham on Tuesday with George Redknap netting.
Brock, who names an unchanged squad for tomorrow's home game against fellow new boys Langney Sports from Sussex, said: "I am pleased with what we have done. For three out of the four halves we have done well.
"It was just the first half at Sittingbourne we have not done well, but the circumstances didn't help with getting there."
On Monday, Banbury visit Ashford Town.
