OXFORDSHIRE Under 23s lifted the Tom Orford Trophy following a crushing 210-run victory over a depleted Buckinghamshire at Marlow.
It gave Oxon two wins out of three in the Four Counties Tournament following a 22-run defeat by Hertfordshire and a 36-run win over Berkshire.
And they took the trophy due to a better run rate than both Hertfordshire and Berkshire, who also won two games out of three.
This is the second time in 13 years that the county have been successful in this competition. The previous time was 1994.
Cumnor's Adam Cook hit an unbeaten 103 as Oxon made 321-3 off 55 overs against Bucks, and then Shahbaz Ali captured 5-29 as Bucks were shot out for 111 in just 24.3 overs.
