Five generations gathered to celebrate great-great-grandmother Beatrice Willoughby's 90th birthday, writes Roseena Parveen.
Mrs Willoughby, who lived in Charlbury Road, Kidlington, most of her life, but now lives at Glebe House in Mill Street, Kidlington, was surrounded for the first time in years by members of her family representing each generation.
She had two celebrations a birthday party at the home on August 22 followed by a family gathering on Saturday. The five generations included Mrs Willoughby's daughter Joan Smith, 68, granddaughter Anne Clarke, 43, both of Liss, Hampshire, great-granddaughter Amanda Leach, 26, of Greater Leys, Oxford, and 11-month-old great-great-granddaughter Molly Leach.
Great-granddaughter Amanda Leach said: "She's a brilliant great-gran. She's very demanding, but we love her to bits." Mrs Willoughby was born in Cumnor in 1910 and worked as a cleaner before meeting her husband, the late James Willoughby, who worked at the Pressed Steel car body factory at Cowley.
Her son Derek, of Cherwell Avenue, Kidlington, said: "She always gets on with people and is always good for conversation. She has been a great mother and we all love her dearly."
