Oxford City Stars have signed their former favourite Paul Donohoe as they prepare for the big face-off against Basingstoke Buffalo in the English National League on Sunday (5.45), writes Colin Kirby.
Coach James Cameron, who is still looking to strengthen Stars' squad further, was delighted by the new signing.
"Paul is a good experienced forward and his qualities will help to bring on our exciting young players," he said.
"I am still looking around for one or two key players and may add to the squad before Sunday.
"It's a tough opener for us as Basingstoke are expected to be one of our main rivals as we aim for the title, but we have been training hard and have a very capable squad which should provide some great entertaining hockey for the fans to watch."
