For 25 years, John Davis's life has been full of books.
In the garage, on the stairs, even in outbuildings behind his home in Station Road, Haddenham.
They have all been sold to raise money for the village parish church.
But now John is appealing for help in finding someone to take over the task.
His last annual book sale for the church will be on September 9. "I have loved doing it, but I cannot continue indefinitely. Books are an unending fascination and sorting out a newly donated collection is one of life's great pleasures.
"Manhandling them keeps you fit, too!" he said.
What he wants is someone to take them over after the sale so that the event can continue.
The latest sale between 10am and 3pm on Saturday will be in aid of the church and multiple sclerosis research.
