Oxford City supersub Danny Wise rewrote the FA Cup record books in spectacular fashion.
The 20-year-old striker from Abingdon made history on Saturday by becoming the first player in the famous competition's 128 years to score five goals after coming on as a substitute.
Wise's stunning scoring spree came during City's thumping 10-1 win at Shoreham, of the Sussex County League Division 2, after he entered the fray in the 16th minute of the preliminary round tie for the injured Simon Abercrombie.
The record was confirmed by the Association of Football Statisticians and a delighted Danny, an alarm engineer, said: "After I got the third it was good getting a hat-trick for the first time for the first team.
"With the fourth one there wasn't really much celebration because we were winning by a lot and when the fifth one went in it was a funny feeling to score five, but it was good."
