Classic Press Cherwell League Division 6C round-up
GREAT and Little Tew 2nd clinched the title in style with a four-wicket win over Oxford Downs 2nd, writes Stefan Pilcher.
Downs were indebted to a fine unbeaten 79 from under 15 player James Florey as they made 154-6.
But the Tews were always in control as they eased home in the 37th over with excellent knocks by Marlow (51) and Lord (41 no) to earn promotion to Division 5.
Chris Shannon took 7-54 as Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd made sure of runners-up spot with a dramatic one-wicket win over Chalgrove 2nd, who were all out for 124.
Shipton looked well placed at 72-2 before Roger Busby claimed 5-39 to leave the last pair requiring eight to win, and they got home with an all-run four coming from over throws.
Despite a six-wicket victory against Didcot 2nd, Kingston Bagpuize 2nd are relegated to Division 9 by just one point as Bourton Vale 2nd collected enough points in a winning draw against Banbury Twenty 2nd to ensure Division 8 cricket next season.
