Radiohead have revealed that they almost split up - in a row about track listings on their new album.
And the group believe OK Computer, acclaimed all over the world, is "over-rated and several minutes too long".
The five-strong members of the band could not agree on which tracks should appear on Kid A - released on October 2 - and almost called it a day.
But they managed to decide on which ten songs should appear on the album, which is already set to be a multi-million seller.
Drummer Phil Selway said: "In terms of the relationship between the five of us, everything was up for grabs last year."
He said the band believe OK Computer was over-rated and guitarist Ed O'Brien added: "We're trying to get away from the situation where every record we make is the be-all and end-all."
Radiohead front man, Thom Yorke, who once said Oxford made him ill, reveals how he sunk to his lowest point when he started thinking the group was not the pioneering band they were cracked up to be.
He said: "New Year's Eve '98 was one of the lowest points of my life. I felt like I was going crazy. Everytime I picked up a guitar I just got the horrors."
