People planning an environmental project to improve their community could get cash help.
The Local Environmental Action Fund (Leaf), managed by Oxford City Council's planning committee, gives financial assistance to local groups or individuals working to improve the environment.
Anyone who lives in Oxford can apply, including community groups and private organisations.
Any project, ranging from tree-planting to public art, which benefits the community will be considered. Priority will be given to areas that suffer from a poor public environment, especially run-down or derelict open space.
For details, write to: Lorraine Freeman, Planning Policy, Oxford City Council, Ramsay House, 10 St Ebbe's Street, Oxford, OX1 1PT, or telephone 01865 252178.
Applications must be returned by September 22.
