High-riding Oxford City produced another excellent all-round performance last night to make it four straight wins in Ryman League Division 1, writes Mick Woodley.
City dominated the first half and although the hosts came into the game when Michael Thorp was taken to hospital with concussion, it was still the visitors who held the upper hand.
Danny Wise, Saturday's five-goal FA Cup hero, sent an early chance inches wide before wasting another opportunity.
Brilliant play then by Dwaine Strong saw him beat three defenders before shooting just over.
It was all City and after Wise had glanced a header wide, they went ahead in the 28th minute when Wise collected a defence-splitting pass from Richard Peirson to drive high past Martin. On the hour, Wise was only denied by the keeper's legs and, as the home team finally came into it, Alan Foster was out quickly to thwart Lock.
Martin saved at Strong's feet after he had raced clear.
But with a minute left, Shaun Wimble cut inside to curl a low drive across Martin into the bottom corner to give the final scoreline a truer reflection of City's overall superiority.
