A spate of car crime has led police to warn motorists not to leave valuables in vehicles overnight.

A Vauxhall Astra in Wheelers Rise, Croughton, was broken into and a CD cassette radio and speakers stolen. A blue Metro was stolen from the same area and later found burned out.

In Aynho, a handbag was taken from a Range Rover in Bowman's Lea, and petrol siphoned from the vehicle.

Pc Beth Brooks, of Brackley police, said: We depend on help from the public to help fight vehicle crime and take precautions to thwart would-be robbers.
