Concerns about the standards in an old people's home were being raised at a public meeting today.
Glebe House in Mill Street, Kidlington, Oxford, is one of the county council's remaining 19 homes for the elderly.
It is home to about 40 residents, the youngest being 69, and the oldest 99.
There have been some complaints that standards have fallen over the last year.
Two Kidlington parish councillors, Christine Witcher and Davina Ray, have spearheaded a campaign to investigate the concerns.
Social services assistant director Nick Welch said: "I think it's important to hear the concerns of the local people.
"The issue is about how we can maintain and improve standards in our elderly people's homes in the face of continuing restriction on social services finance.
"It is a long and very detailed process."
Manageress Sonia Button was unable to confirm whether she would be attending the meeting.
