Over 10,000 motorcyclists will be making the pilgrimage to Brighton's annual Speed Trials event on Saturday, with the added attraction of meeting the fastest motorcycle race team in the UK, and possibly the world, writes John Gilbride.
Joining revellers on Brighton's famous Madeira Drive throughout Saturday will be superbike stars Neil Hodgson and Niall Mackenzie, who are thrilling race fans around the country with their on-track antics in this year's MB4U.com British Superbike Championship.
As well as leading the series, Neil Hodgson has been grabbing headlines around the globe with his world-beating performances in the recent Superbike World Championship rounds at Donington Park and Brands Hatch, where he took on the world's best and won in spectacular style in front of over 100,000 fans. Hodgson and former three-times British Superbike Champion Niall Mackenzie will be displaying their INS Ducati machines and race transporter, and will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and answer questions about what it's like to race in the toughest, most competitive domestic championship in the world.
Tony Johnstone, Chairman of the Brighton and Hove Motorcycle Club and Clerk of the Course commented: "We're delighted that GSE Racing will have a presence at the 64th National Speed Trials. The event started in 1905 and gets bigger every year, and we're expecting bumper crowds, especially now that there is the added attraction of meeting Neil Hodgson and Niall Mackenzie.
"We've also had a huge entry list confirmed for the speed trial, with over 200 cars and 55 bikes battling to be the fastest," he added.
